Q. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

20th Century Fox is one of the six major American film studios. The location of the corporation is in the century city area of Los Angeles just west of Beverley hills.  The studio is subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch’s news corporation. The company was formed on may the 31st 1935 as a result of William Fox.

I would like 20th century Fox to develop my production as they are large business that has successfully produced some of the best movies of all time. Including the great thriller ‘The Happening’ which was very successful and Taken. Both these movies have fantastic openings due to them both using thriller conventions. In the happening the odd opening of the women killing herself is very dramatic and makes you want to watch on. Another reason to why this is that the company is financial capable of producing out of the ordinary concepts and will have the capability of supplying large sums of money for a film to be created. Also the company has masses of experience in the film industry therefore they know what is needed in a film to attract the target audience and know what is needed to make a great thriller.

The pure size of the business also creates a lot of media attention therefore publisizing film is very efficient and common. However due to the size of the business and the realistic view of if they would actually take on my idea.
